Hey ladies. I have enjoyed being part of this group and reading all your posts the last couple of months.

Recently, (and I don’t know if it’s due to the holidays) but I feel like I get on social media and compare myself to other people. I am constantly seeing people announcing engagements, pregnancies, weddings, and new relationships. Most of these people I know from college so we’re the same age. I’m 23. And honestly I’ve never had a boyfriend and have never dated so when I see people my same age wayyyyy ahead of me it kind of makes me feel less than.

I know this isn’t the truth but I can’t help but have these thoughts. It’s also hard because I feel like when I do start dating it’s going to be difficult for me because I’ve never done it before (I’ve literally been on one date. I’ve never even kissed a guy lol). It just sucks because I feel like 99% of other 23 year old gals have had at least 4 or 5 relationships by now and I’ve got nothing.

Also, is this the fact that I’m not too experienced something I should disclose upfront when I start dating? Or just try to fake it til I make it. I don’t want to make myself look too vulnerable or make a guy think they can take advantage of me because that is simply not true. It’s not because I’m ugly or anti social, I’ve just been focused on school and work up until this point and honestly have just never met anyone who has interested me. Anytime I tell someone I’ve never had a boyfriend (like my coworkers) they are so shocked their mouth drops to the floor. I guess it’s not the most common thing but I know there’s gotta be other people out there like me.

I tried OLD this summer and it was very meh. When I am ready to try dating, what are your favorite ways to meet people? Favorite apps, dating sites, clubs to join etc. I’d really like some tips. Sorry this was so long!!
