Asking this since I've been out of relationships and pretty much dating of any type (bar from couple of dates that were never intended as anything serious, from both sides) for about two years now. I've taken that time away from romantic relationships to really just work on myself, since I had some mental health issues that needed taking care of and fixing myself overall, from work to balanced lifestyle and 'rewiring' some hurtful opinions I've had before, all that good stuff. Also, my work - I'm a sailor and own my own business - is not that helpful when starting a relationship, simply because I cannot plan really anything for half a month, every month. So I just avoided any serious relationships to not only avoid wasting time of mine and anyone else's but to avoid hurting either myself or the person I could be interested in. So, in big big tldr. Who is a HVM? Or what behaviour is not okay when in a relationship (asking this one since yeah, I'm young, barely 23 and my only long term relationships were as a teenager)? I just want to get outside perspective of someone who values themselves and knows what they want, not just mine - since no opinion is full without a second one. Ps. Sorry if it was rambly, English ain't my first language.
