Just scratching the surface of this community but wanted to throw something out there for discussion.

So I've been scratching my head about something. It seems like the goal of women in a relationship is to get her guy to commit, which is totally understandable. What I don't understand is if that's the case, why does she resort to desexualizing the relationship when it would be much easier to just give in to a man's needs and provide a constant stream of sex?

Here are my thoughts: From the very moment a woman decides she wants a man to commit, it's her goal to desexualize him to make him worthless on the sexual marketplace. This relieves competition anxiety and ensures that the man forgets how much value he has to other women. If she keeps him low confidence and he gives into her, then she can worry less about him getting picked off by another woman. What they don't realize in doing this, is that they're taking away the very essence of what makes a man attractive, and it eventually ends up backfiring. But then, a woman can put up with a lot to have a sense of security, as can a man.
