Hello Gentlemen,

This is about the stupidest thing I have run into in my RP Journey. My wife(37y/o) is ripping ass constantly and I have not been able to do anything to get her to stop or at least leave the room. About 16 years ago she had her gall bladder removed, which creates an express lane through your GI tract. She used to say she had IBS, but its the gall bladder not helping digest fats that would send food through her quickly.

January 2016 she had gastric sleeve surgery which leaves about 15% of the stomach, unlike a bypass that basically eliminates the stomach this allows a slightly more 'normal' diet afterward. After the initial recovery period of liquid and soft foods, she was started on a high protein diet by her doctor. We all know that high protein diets make you gassy, but this is gotten to the point of being offensive. Hell, her ass has woken me up from a sound sleep because it smelled so bad and that was the stench making it through my CPAP machine for sleep Apnea.

Initially I was sympathetic toward her due to the surgery and lack of a gall bladder. After several months I started making comments, simple things, "please don't do that in the kitchen, dining room, bed, etc". Really, just don't do it around me, step into another room for a minute.

We all have gas periodically, and it can usually be handled with a good bowel movement. If you know you're going to eat something that is going to make you gassy, keep some Bean-O or other gas deterring OTC med around. Which I have bought for her/us, and she refuses to take before eating. Last week she decided to snack on a head of cauliflower, making the next day delightful /s.

Gentlemen, I need some other tactics to handle this. Being polite, being direct, ignoring it, purchasing OTC med's to counteract, leaving when she does it, none have helped. How do you guys handle disgusting habits from your wives?
