So I was listening to the BPP YouTube on my way to work this morning and it had me questioning myself on compliance tests.

I understood from the video that this was a form of shit test, that demonstrates submissive and supplicating behavior. It's definitely my weak point right now.

My wife though, is quite independent and doesn't ask for much, perhaps it's because I am always very engaged in something and like to run a tight house so most things are done and she doesn't ask for them - not to appease her but a man leads and manages his household, I do them for me.

Yesterday, I came up from cleaning the garage for about an hour (it was dusty and needed leaves swept out and reorganized) and she was laying on the couch on the laptop researching some info for a project we're about to start and she asked if I could get her some Cheerios - I said sure since I was already standing and walking towards the kitchen and brought them to her.

This morning I was thinking about the interaction when I heard the video and thought perhaps it was a shit test? Was it? Should the response have been 'Cheerios would be great, would you make a bowl when you make yourself one?!'

I honestly didn't mind, because it's not like we're both relaxing and she asks me to go get something, and to clarify, she does not do that.

For example, when we have dinner, if she wants something, she gets up and goes to get it, there are no fetch quests when we're both occupied, and neither do I - I will ask if she needs anything if I get up to get something and she does the same (sprinkle some beta into it).

So what do you guys think, is it supplicating? Is it a compliance test that I'm failing?
