She asked a reasonable and rational question that was not a shit test (i.e. she was not disrespectful or rude or challenging from what I read). Why wouldn't you be up front and honest? No need to clown around on this one.

AA would have been better. A straight "yes" kinda kills the mood because now you're putting expectations on her = covert contract. "Glad you noticed all my improvements. Now you'd better start responding!" The goal is to make her want to submit, not to tell her she has to.

I've done this exact thing a few times. What I've learned is that her hamster spins and she becomes even more contradictory in order to avoid being submissive and proving to me that she's not. I've also come to realize that I'm doing something wrong or she would WANT to be submissive and actually be seeking approval from me.
