Gentlemen,

A few months ago I posted about issues that I was having my boss at the time. Since then I have left my old place of work and have moved on. At the time, I was doing a side gig and had been doing so for the previous 5 years. The gig was originally organised through my old work, however since inception I have been the sole person doing this.

Upon resigning I obviously had to forfeit that extra work. The organisation however wanted to keep me on and we were making headway on a deal.

Today, I received a text message (bastards didn't even have the decency to call me) and notified me they would be staying with the current arrangement and that I wouldn't be working there. I have now found out that this is because my ex-boss has been spreading allegations (massive slander of character) and hence why they don't want to have me.

I did not want for it to come to this, but my ex-boss is currently involved in a legal case where he could potentially be forced to close his workplace down and with one phone call I could easily make that happen. I just don't want that to be my only resort.

My question is this, what advice do you have for me/how would you go about this?
