I have never corrected any boss.

You don't correct the boss. You protect the boss. I have never had a hard time telling the boss what I think, but my boss always knows I have had his back. If I disagree on something, it's because I want the project to succeed. Sometimes, I'm right, sometimes there were considerations that I did not know about. Also, if overridden, I shut up and do my job.

A man with options is powerful. It doesn't always have to be money. Do you have skills, are you savvy politically? Sounds like you are not. You've believed that your office is an extension of your home and pretty much shit all over it. You hide in fear. There are plenty of stories of men leaving jobs with nothing and making gold out of it.

Fear can do one of two things. It can make you cower and maintain status quo hoping that things don't get worst. Problem is hope isn't a method. The other thing fear does is empower you. Makes you work because otherwise you go hungry.

More then in your marriage reading and understanding the 48 Laws is key. IMO no one at work is your friend. People will turn on you for more money and a better opportunity. Most importantly there is no more loyalty in corporate America. Companies will demand it of you but will not return it. Then...fuck them. Build options, learn skills.

WISNIG makes you realize what's wrong but in this case 48 laws is what's going to give you the tools.

Having "fuck you" money is one of the most powerful, if not the most power thing to have on this planet.

If you do not have "fuck you" money then you need to have a highly desirable skill set and be an expert in your field.

I pick my battles with my boss, but have proven myself so there is little here. I just do my job and do it well. I know that I can find another job if I need to. Abundance mentality. I live in a town of 7M people. Lots of work.

I have no debt, reasonable monthly expenses and a ton of "fuck you" money.

Life is to short to put up with bullshit, in any relationship.

It was Rollo or TFA that had a post on "fuck you money" I believe a while back. Ill try to find it when I am not mobile.

LPT: Manipulation is how an alpha handles a non-alpha boss. I did learn this the hard way in my younger years. I would directly battle the master and it didn't work out. Now I play in the covert space when needed.

Make sure you realize anyone and everyone will fuck you if it is rationalized enough for them. Full stop. This includes your wife, your boss, the ones you have given the most too.

Foster abundance. Have your eye on the door all the time, and be ready to walk. Because the moment you forget that is a distinct possibility, the moment these people will become your overlord. Ask me how I know mother fucker.

This is a key concept to internalize. You will be fine on your own. If the people you share your valued time on this earth don’t treat you with respect - the respect you should demand - make yourself scarce. You’ll be tormented otherwise.
