I will try my best to keep this story as brief as I can regarding Me (29 y/o M) and my Gf (23 y/o F).

First and foremost, I can admit that I fucked up, by looking through my girlfriends old text messages. I was using her laptop, she was sound asleep, and I just searched up her Ex’s (also her baby daddy’s) name on her iMessages and was hurt about what I found.

Backstory: Her and I have been dating for 3 months. Everything has been pretty much perfect, no drama whatsoever. She does have a small child who is about 10 months old, and she had her daughter with a man who treated her like absolute garbage for 5 years (He cheated on her close to 100 times with over 60 different women according to my GF)… long story short, my GF said that she hates her ex’s guts, and is completely done with him and hasn’t and WILL NOT have any meaningful contact with him aside from anything pertaining to their daughter… Ok fair enough.. I believed her because she did not give me any indication that she is not trustworthy and I didn’t want to hold her past against her…

So there is the backstory… the issue now is that she told me that as soon as her ex cheated on her WHILE SHE WAS PREGNANT with their kid, she completely cut him off and they never messed around after that. That happened to be a lie, because in her iMessages I saw that she texted one of her friends two days before me and her first met in February “I slipped up, and found out I’m 4 weeks pregnant again with my ex”… So she ended up getting an abortion with the SAME dude she said she cut off, and would never mess with again just two days before meeting me.

Now clearly she lied to me, and I don’t know now if I can trust anything she tells me. I know that I also broke her trust by searching her messages but I mean… Damn, I have no idea what to believe or think anymore.. If she lied to me about that, what else is she lying to me about? Will she eventually go back to her ex again? I mean the dude has already cheated on her 100+ times, is the father of her child, and she still went back to have sex with him after all of that… I don’t know what to think, I need help.

TL;dr - Snooped in girlfriends texts, found out she’s been lying about certain aspects of her toxic ex and the timeline of when they’ve been having sex.
