So I met this girl (27) via work. Company Collab and for a project they packed us on a team, we got to talk a bit and I was kind of surprised. Very carrier-driven, high position making very good money and the work-synergy worked really well. She seems creative and smart and didn't pull any annoying female bullshit you come across too often when working with women.

Can't deny she caught my eye, but since she kept it all professional till now and just lately dug a bit deeper on what her deal is.

She lost her S/O of 11 years to cancer about 6 months ago, after the guy struggling for 4 years. Her closer colleagues had nothing but good things to say about her. Put in extra work to make sure they could see the world together while he still had time / energy, took care of him after. Would visit him in hospital for hours every day when he was there. Took full responsibility without letting her slide. No dating, no flirting with other guys, even now he's dead she stays to herself and the guys in the company all got rejected, if they tried.

You might realize at this point: I'm impressed and surprised at this point. The women I know would've packed their bags to find a different guy who could provide for them, complain non stop or wouldn't even consider keeping good work up in their jobs.

So I checked her Facebook and of course there's still pictures of the two of them and he wasn't even good looking. Not at all. Overweight. Patchy beard, crooked nose, droopy Eyes. 4/10 max. Maybe he had something going for him when he was a teen - but later?

Long story short: I'm thinking about if it's worth giving it a shot. If she might be worth the effort I'd probably have to put in, according to the other guys who tell me it's a waste of time cuz she doesn't date.
