Hello askTRP, tonight I come with another humble request in being clarified about another thing in the sidebar: Briffault's Law, a law that is this: " This has been posted a few times, and comes up in comments a lot, but we've got a lot of new users here...

BRIFFAULT’S LAW:

The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place.

There are a few corollaries I would add:"

(1)-Past benefit provided by the male does not provide for continued or future association.

(2)-Any agreement where the male provides a current benefit in return for a promise of future association is null and void as soon as the male has provided the benefit (see corollary 1)

(3)-A promise of future benefit has limited influence on current/future association, with the influence inversely proportionate to the length of time until the benefit will be given and directly proportionate to the degree to which the female trusts the male (which is not bloody likely). "

From what I understood, basically is like this: 1.a benefit from the past (gifts, special romantic moments, general aid, protection, etc) is not relevant in the present or future process of mating/LTR with a woman. It provides no security, no guarantees. 2.if I do something for a girl that I'm into it (emotional support, help for crossing over a breakup with another man like being her cry shoulder, a great and exiting trip paid by me only, pumping money in her, etc) it means that the woman will just stay with me, rip the benefits and when she's done or had enought or found someone better, she leaves even tho she promised that we will be together. 3.did not understood the 3rd point, can you please explain this in a basic way?
