First of all, you're asking a fish what kind of bait to use. The fish is not only not going to be able to give you an answer, it doesn't even have the ability to understand the question.

Second, women who are remotely attractive live under a constant rain of dicks so thick and intense that you cannot comprehend it. The "Bitch Shields" we speak of are an umbrella built to ward off the constant barrage of dicks.

I know, it's hard to imagine getting sick of constant, easy access to booty. But try to imaging if, when you stopped for McDonalds in the morning, that you were approached. Then in the parking lot into the office. Then the woman in the elevator, the barista in the lobby, and the woman in the next cubicle over.

At the gym, at the DIY store, the pool, the pub, EVERYWHERE.

Now imagine that any one of those pussies as bigger than you, stronger than you, more aggressive than you, and might beat your ass for saying "no thanks."

That's an attractive woman's life.

So no, they don't like cold approaches, at least, not from men who are "beneath" them. Ideally, they'd like to be introduced by a mutual acquaintance in a public environment and for the man to be prevetted for income, personality, and attractiveness.

The male user subs, while they advise a cold approach, are not making it clear that it's a numbers game. Depending on your looks, grooming, and game, you will get 20 rejections for every number close. When the RP subs tell you to cold approach, look more closely. They are also advising you to have a thick skin, patience, and to work a venue for a couple of hours at MOST, and then bounce and work another venue.

It's also a matter of the relative SMV. Women who say they hate being cold-approached, hate being cold-approached by men with a perceived low SMV. I'm pretty sure that the women who are claiming they hate being cold approached don't mind being approached by DiCaprio, Clooney, or Depp.

Fnord did a great job answering this. There is another reason women are disconnected from how they would respond in person.. These women are making a statement for women in general. Not just them, but how they believe all women are, more than that, how they want to be or want all women to be.

When you cold approach someone there is a very large chance of failure, all recommendations to do so are based on the assumption that the advice is going to reach people who are socially awkward and need practice just going up and talking to women.

This is in fact, the very best way to meet anyone and your presentation needs work. Nothing will build that like effort and the rejections that build up mean nothing compared to the victories that also go along with it.
