I was doing some research here on Reddit regarding cold approach methods. And while I was reading, I stumbled across a few posts from the r/AskWomen subreddit. Nearly every single woman who posted said they HATE being cold approached, and view guys who do as having minimal social skills.

However, compared to advice given on r/TheRedPill r/dating_advice and r/seduction, it's polar opposite. Cold approach is often seen as one of the best ways to meet new women, and is always suggested to people looking to find a potential partner.

What causes this disconnect? How can guys on these subreddits say that it is a great way to meet women, while women say it's one of the worst ways?
