Say you DM a girl up out of the blue. She responds, but doesn't give you much to work with. Do you try to keep the conversation going until you get a hook or do you bail early?

There used to be some mutual interest, but nothing ever came of it. Been a few years. Decided to cold DM her.

Me: I ask why she didn't come to some party a while back for our mutual friend Her: says she was doing something with her ex bf.
Me: you missed a good time. Pretty sure x passed out by 10:00 Her: nice
