Something I’ve noticed RP theory doesn't talk much about is how to communicate effectively with other men, and it's something that has been plaguing me for quite awhile and something I’d like to get a handle on.

A bit of back story first: I've been in a fraternity at my university for the past few years, and have had friendships evolve just based on proximity. I’ve met some guys who I’ll be friends with for the rest of my life and who I enjoy being around and can be myself around. But other than that my relationships seem really superficial.

When I get around guys who I’m not as close with or friends of friends who I’m just meeting, I’m a completely different person. I'm not funny at all, I always feel judged for what I say, I suck at banter, I CAN NEVER HOLD FRAME and I generally just feel inferior as a whole. Even worse, it seems like when I’m around people have less fun, like I suck the energy out of people subconsciously. I feel like I try too hard sometimes, but then when I don't people seem to ignore me completely. Obviously we don't like to be victims here but I had an abusive step-father in my early years which I think has contributed to my male anxiety now, especially the fact that I always feel inferior to other guys and don’t want to step on anyone’s toes for some reason. Even with my close friends I find it hard to chat about what’s actually going on in my life and what makes me tick, we mainly just talk about sports and girls.

It's funny though, because I kill it with girls. I do better than most guys in the fraternity and most guys that I know. It's like I turn into a different person around girls. I'm completely relaxed, I don't give a fuck about what they think of me, I say shit that might be offensive, I'm having a good time and they're having a good time, and I can hold frame like a champ. And because of this I get laid frequently.

So essentially I’m the opposite of what most red pill theory talks about (or what I’ve read at least), so I’m looking for some help. I lift, I have a decent amount of hobbies (which none of my friends are really into, maybe that’s a problem), and I read a lot. Does anyone who has gone through something similar, or guys who have a lot of good guy friends, have any advice? Thanks in advance.

tl;dr: I can hold frame and communicate really well with girls, but I suck at doing it with guys. It’s like I’m a different person. I’m looking for advice on how to communicate and bond with other dudes.
