Take a step back and priortise your goals. Do you want a relationship or do you want to focus on yourself/goals. Think short term and long term. Because at the moment it sounds like youre more interested in the idea of a relationship than focusing on reality.

However, you have to learn that women are just a compliment of your life and not the focus of it.

Take it a step further from Pook and learn to be self reliable in terms of your own happiness.

Some mental tricks you can use against oneitis is 1. The oldie but goodie, for every hot chick there's a guy who's tired of fucking her. 2. She's a human just like you, really nothing special. 3. Treat her as if she's a girl you're not attracted to or barely.

As for your particular problem, you can't ever gain abundance unless you get out there. Not only is it a basic step to getting abundance, you can't learn how to game women unless you game women. If those mental tricks don't work, just stop being a pussy. Stop falling into the blue pill notion that women are special and should be cherished. Game women, the more women you game, the better you'll get at gaming, the more abundance you'll gain, and the less you'll fall into the blue pill trap of oneitis.

I find this pretty accurate. I started dating a girl about a month ago, and started dating 2 others because I realized I'd probably catch feelings for her if it were too serious. Now I'm dating three girls and none of them have enough of my attention to distract me from my goals and myself, it's pretty convenient.

You should never be truly focused on a single girl. Your life is your fun thing to do, and she's along for the ride. If it becomes a matter of focus . . . you're gonna have a bad time.

As for how I do things . . .

Two actually dating and two or three on the hook as orbiters has always been the sweet spot for me.

I've tried going higher, but that just gets to be work once you're dating three. Also, someone is going to get shutdown each weekend, and I always attract the "OMG, do you even like me?!" anxious types. It doesn't help that I'm pretty open about how I roll.

When I only have one woman in my life, it feels weird. I've always liked having that extra supply of someone working to hold my attention.

OTOH, if I can maintain two for dating and keep a few more interested girls on the hook as friends, that seems to balance out well.

I will say that zero has been its own kind of comfortable. It's nice to not have to service idiotic texts at 1:30am on a Tuesday.

The downside to zero is that I struggle to figure out what differentiates one chick from the next, so just going out gets boring because it all becomes a wall of indifference for me. Consequently, I often end up sleeping with the trainwrecks and outsized personalities of the world during these stretches, just because they break up the boredom.

Faking abundance when you have none is stressful as fuck.

Then stop faking it. Just go do your life. Again, any woman who happens to come along is welcome to take the ride, but you're not going out there trying to make things happen for other people.

Rule of thumb, don’t abandon your plates for a new girlfriend and don’t abandon your girlfriend at least until you have someone else. Spending time alone is one thing. Lifting. Going out by yourself on Sunday evening, these are all things you can do by yourself. Just be normal. Pursue a relationship. Don’t leave your family because they aren’t spiritual enough.

Well you have to start with one before you can upgrade to two, unless you can set up two dates simultaneously and have them both go well enough to continue.

When I started spinning plates I picked up a few girls who I’d see only very occasionally for sex. Maybe once every 4-5 weeks. When I started dating girls who I saw as long term prospects it really took the edge off. If something tanked on a date I could just go “Oh well, I guess I’ll hit up one of my casual plates instead.”

Two-at-time is indeed good advice. It’s just hard to get going.
