I’m kind of lost when it comes to this.

Part of me believes that if I try to hard, I’ll come off as a guy that believes his wit and “game” is the only valuable thing about him. Perhaps it could lead the girl to believe that I’m not confident enough to assume that I’m super desirable as is. Maybe it will make me come off as a child.

The other side of me believes that if I just open with “hey hows it going” she’ll find me to be a complete bore of a person, perhaps so boring that I’m unable to become high in the hierarchy of men.
