I really don't like the other two responses so far.

A man doing "what they want" sometimes means that they can choose that they want to do what you want because they think it's in your collective best interest. That isn't weak, or submissive. It's a decision.

Being TRP doesn't mean you want a submissive dumb ass bitch of a wife who is weak and idiotic and can never make a decision on her own.

It means that you can choose a partner that fits you correctly. Some men want completely submissive women, some want women that are more independently minded.

Personally, I don't want a woman that I have to tell what to do every damn second of every day. I want an independent minded woman who can respect me, and can be part of a team. That means that I can trust her to make decision without me, if I need her to do so. That means, that in order to know she can make good decisions without me, i want to make sure she can make good decisions while I'm supervising. That means she can show me her thought process, and show she has a functioning brain that leads to good assessments of a situation. It is stressful, because as a "leader", if I ask you to make a decision then there is a damn good reason I'm asking you to do so. Your hesitation/fear/anxiety/whatever makes things awkward for me. Because, If I force you, pressure you, guilt you into making a decision you will more likely make a poor decision, which defeats the point of asking you to make a decision in the first place. Then, if I take back my decision and make my own decision, then I am setting a bad example for you to take the initiative, and you will expect me to do so. So, my only option is to wait for you feel things are "stressful" enough until you make a decision.

Women are perfectly capable of being competent. This idea that women are incompetent is ridiculous. If they were incompetent than lame loser ass "betas" wouldn't get played for the idiots they are. The point is to develop a functioning relationship as a man, and make sure you aren't being used, abused, or fucked with by a woman.

That is TRP as it relates to your question.

A man that never makes a decision because he is being stupid or unmotivated is weak, submissive, depressed, etc, and everything that TRP does not endorse. Asking you to make a decision in itself is not any of those things.

The point to take away: Human decision making follows the same pattern, no matter whether you are an ace in a mortal dogfight, or you are trying to choose a donut flavor to go along with that Frappuccino (you fatass). Every time you make a decision, you observe (the donut tray), you orient (your lardy arse in relation to the fried dough), you decide (to buy a dozen) and you act (handing in the cash with you sugar encrusted fingers). Not taking action in that case means you're 'off the radar’ for the woman, she will not even acknowledge you exist. I assume you're a female? This is why a man needs to make decisions. Because you need perspectives to be able to decide on your question. You want to know what other people think, so you can latch onto that thought. A male does not need this. A male goes against popular opinion if he truly knows his decision is correct, and he will stick with it.

I think a male is best at making decisions, because females act in the moment. They're emotional. So you might be walking with your GF to the movies, and right before you buy tickets she gets pissed at you and sais "fine! if you don't care about me lets go home." Now, a male could fall for this trap and actually agree with her and proceed to go home and ruin the rest of the night, or the male could see through the EMOTIONAL reaction, handle the problem in an aloof but also caring way, and then proceed to kiss this girl and walk in the movies for a good time, and a great fucking afterwards. And when they fall asleep she could whisper into his ear "i love how unphased you were when I freaked out". (true story)

The way to setup this foundation is for the male to almost every single time, make the decision. He should be the leader, you should be his first mate. Meaning he values your opinion greatly, and your thoughts in a decision are considered, but the end point is HE decides.
