How does decision making skills tie into being masculine or alpha?

Is it OK for a man to not want to make a lot of decisions? Not because he is indecisive but because he is laid back and doesn't care how things go.

How should a woman interact with a man who does not want to make a decision on something. Not decide until he HAS to make a decision, or when its clear that he doesn't really care, use that as an opportunity to make a decision and leave the decisions he wants to make to him.

My SO makes a lot of decisions. But he also asks me what I think too. He seems to value my opinion and want to do what makes me happy when it doesn't affect him either way. According to TRP men should always do what they want....and never allow the woman to decide what to do for the both of them. I just don't see that happening with us.

Its not all his doing mind you... He gives me the opportunity to decide. I seize the opportunity. I could theoretically hold out and wait until he decides. But this creates more stress for some reason? Can someone explain from a male POV why having to make a decision is difficult?
