I used to get mad at my friends who would disappear as soon as they had a girlfriend. I never disappeared and I never understood why they did.

I've never in my life ever said "The best time of my life was this one time with just my girlfriend". The best times of my life have been with my guy friends.

why would i hate that my boy is spending time with his girl?

i feel like those who get mad at their friend being with a girl are mad that they dont have a girl to be with and project their rage towards their boy. its like when the girl you are orbiting gets mad you found a girl who wants to fuck him and you spend more time with her than old girl.

in experience, when my friends had girls or dates i would understandably position my self as 3rd wheel and be out the way and make own fun while being happy. meanwhile i been called whipped or etc for the reverse effect.

the only time i would have a problem is if person bails or ruins a "guys night" thing

On a side note, this is why you never become dependent on others completely. If you and your bro had plans and he flakes, you should already have a plan B so you don't waste that time trying to find something else to do. When you're so completely accountable for everything in your life and focus on only you, you wont give a shit whether your homie left you lol
