The car community is beautiful in this way. We all respect (usually) anyone who makes an effort. It doesn't matter how you want your car and wether or not thats how i would want my car. Its the common interest

To me, it's more inspiring seeing you average joes striving for excellence instead of succumbing to the whims of the system.

In terms of succumbing to the system: I get annoyed when I hear about the praise that society heaps upon a person who overcame something like a drug problem yet the don't acknowledge the people who never fell into that trap.

There is this one guy that I gave the nod too, he used to be homeless, then I saw him working one day in someone's backyard. Yesterday I see him again, this time with getting onto a motorbike. It seems that he has made good progress from going to being on the street to a point where he can support himself. That deserves a tip of the hat.

I get the point, but would prefer it without the anti-steroid propaganda.

Steroids and hard work go hand in hand. Not the other way around.

Definitely not weird at all. I respect all individuals who work hard because its a reflection of their work ethic. Thats why I respect a lot of dudes on this subreddit. All of us are here with the intention of self-improvement and supporting something we believe in.
