I used to be a very bony person 3 years ago, weighed 140 pounds. I have been at the same job for 10 years a d over the last 3 years I have put on around 60 pounds from just eating more and lifting. My job is very high schooling, there is a big clique of co workers that intermingle together and exclude majority of the others. After spending years looking for their validation trying to be nice, cracking jokes I could never just connect with any sort of comradery with these people.

Normally I would give a fuck less about needing someones approval but these are people I'm constantly surrounded by and this is a place I would likely spend another 25 years at till I retire.

Well after I started trt and lifting a year later I put on an incredible amount of mass. I look like a different person now. And the craziest thing about this is that slowly over this time period being apart of this clique is now effortless, and I'm quite close and good friends with many of them now, and even 60-70% of my customers treat me completely different..

Is there some sort of primal/evolutionary trait that makes people steer away from physically weak and more gravitated towards in shape people?

This probably makes me sound very shallow and narcissistic, but Its one of those situations that slowly unfolded that didn't know would happen and just baffles me. Is there any sort of psychological basis to this?
