I think for 18 college I’d advise focusing more on your body than on your outfit. Lift and wear simple jeans and tee shirts.

Learn to dress properly for the weather and wear clothes that fit. I just generally like dressing nice regardless, but it is a form of "peacocking" according to TRP. It's pretty incredible what just having good fitting clothing can do.

That being said though, you have to own it and you can't just dress a certain way and expect life to change. Find a style that works for you so that you don't feel weird wearing it, though some things are worth a small amount of adjustment.

You also need to lift and get in good shape, no amount of clothing can substitute that. Getting bigger and stronger will make you look good in almost anything you wear. You will also be able to rock what you wear with the added confidence from already looking good without clothing (muscular, tone, ect.).

Currently I'm embracing fall/winter with a peacoat and scarf with dark wash slim jeans. Throw in a nice pair of shoes and it's an outfit. I get compliments fairly regularly and I feel like I'm the best looking person everywhere I go. It's fun and I enjoy it.

Dressing nice can amplify what you have already done to increase your smv, but if don't feel like fucking James Bond while wearing a fitted suit (owning it) then it can only do so much. Same goes for everything else.

Side note: I didn't put much time into this and did it on mobile, but I think my point gets across enough.

It really depends on a lot of factors. I graduated college last spring and my wardrobe has understandably gotten more formal.

When I was in business school I liked to dress business casual most days because you never know when networking opportunities are going to come up. But sometimes I had days where I wanted to be more comfortable so I rocked some slim well-fitted joggers. Comfy as hell but easy to make look good. All you needed was a white/black t-shirt and some decent sneakers and you looked presentable. On the weekends I sometimes dress in more "streetwear" inspired outfits.

wearing a suit, tie, tucked in shirt is cringe tier and will just make you look like a fedora neckbeard. dont wear that unless your like 60.

what you should do is wear slim fitting clothes, name brand shit. athletic and casual style. no teenager graphic t shirts.
