Chic flick with enough of a hook to get "bros" to come see and preach to them how they are wrong about living their life.

My main problem was that besides his parents, he did everything anyone else told him to do. Girlfriend tells him to do stuff, does it. Bros tell him to do stuff? Does it. Crazy ugly older chic tells him to do stuff, does it. He had no direction in his life about who he is and what he wantsand even in the end was still defined by others. That was my take away. He was a man with no mission being blown about by the winds of friends, lovers and ideologies that were not his own.

Don Juan? More like Jack's Astounding Lack of Direction. He's where Ed Norton's character probably was in fight club at age 21. I can see this character getting a boring job and an apartment of ikea furniture and then at 30 going insane and wanting to blow up buildings with his imaginary friend Tyler because "he bought into the lie" when in all honesty, there was no lie, he just never had his own mission in life.

General feeling about this movie is that it ends as a story of an alpha progressively becoming beta.

I know a lot of guys like him. They get pussy and their confident, but no one really checks them. When it comes down to getting curve balls by that one girl that's "different from the rest" they hop on the bandwagon and don't look back. Then they turn full beta most of the time. Getting laid doesn't make you alpha.

About as BP an ending as it gets. Really disappointed me. Had so much potential.

It is relatively red pill.

Lays out oneitis and then self improvement as a goal. I actually forget what happens after that.
