I don't think it would ever happen. After all she would be wasting a perfectly good drink. You would have to really piss her off which takes knowing her personally already.

As for a response... there's no point treating it like a shit test. It's a burned bridge. If you get pissed, get pissed. Or you could reframe it as a massive bullet dodged because it takes some serious mental instability to throw a drink at someone for a distasteful remark.

Never had this happen. I consider myself to have fairly decent social skills so I doubt I would put my foot in my mouth so bad that It'd warrant this kind of behavior.

Don't be a asshat and you'll have nothing to fear.

I suppose there's the slim chance that some crazy bitch will just lose it for no reason and do this, but in that case, any retaliation will likely get you in more trouble than it's worth. You're best bet is to de-escelate and get away from the situation.

This is becoming a trend here. On some environments, mainly the more alternative ones, you'll get a drink at your face for using a pick up line in 5 seconds of conversation these days. I guess some women might actually do it just because they can.
This sux a lot. I like rock'n'roll venues and to no surprise they're filled with alt people, I used to get along well with them but lately I've been seeing this quite a lot. I dare to say half of the times the girl doesn't even acts outraged afterwards, she laughs.

So, here's the thing. Women are empowered and there isn't absolutely nothing a regular man or a newcomer to the environment can do. It won't help talking to bouncers, you're assumed guilty.
The only chance you have for some justice is if you or some friend of yours spend a lot of money on a particular venue and is known by the owners because of it. Then you can ask her out.

This sux ass man. There's nothing to be done.

I've seen it on many occasions. Check out my user name. As bouncers, we remove the first offending party. If woman threw drink, and man dumped his on her? We remove the female. Same if she gets slapped. Every club I've ever worked at operates this way, with the only exception being if the woman has some 'pull' with someone there. Owner, fucking another bouncer, etc.

It'd be extremely difficult for someone as clumsy and inept as the average woman to actually throw a drink in your face before you can notice & do something about it unless you are absolutely not paying any attention whatsoever.
