Echo'ing others - don't put women as the priority. Invest your time in you. Find a gym, even if it's just one of those $10 a month crappy ones if that's all you can afford. It's better than nothing. In conjunction, figure out a better diet. Shaping up is 80% diet, 20% exercise.

Then, do a little style update - nice clothes that fit well, nice shoes, maybe an inexpensive but decent looking watch (watches make great bling for men), decent hair cut. Go to a classic barber. Don't go to some SportClips or similar place where they have some cute girl moving guys through as fast as possible assembly style and flirting her way to tips in the process. Find a MALE barber that understands male style and get him to clean you up.

One more thing - keep your home clean and organized. Doesn't have to be OCD level neat freaking. Just keep dirty clothes in a clothes hamper in the laundry, make your bed, etc. Tasteful decorations and furnishings (not just sports posters, mattress on floor, and the one couch). I can't tell you how many women were impressed when I brought them home and it looked like a mature adult lived there. You can get decent looking cheap stuff from Goodwill stores, it's not that expensive. Most of the ladies came back for more until I kicked 'em to the curb because they tried to lock me down. Until I found one that was just a great fit, not a feminist, really more TRP style lady (note - not a unicorn, they don't exist) and ended up wife'ing her up.

But seriously, you could put yourself ahead of 90% of the guys in your age range in a month or two just by those changes above. It's simply so many guys make no investment in themselves, just by starting you put yourself ahead of most other guys.
