Okay, here is some context: A girl I'm sort of seeing and I recently had an argument. She, for a little over the past week, hasn't been able to find time for me. So, naturally, I brought some other girl that could find time. She finds out, and gets upset. I tell her that it's nothing personal, but if she can't find time for me, then I'm wasting too many opportunities to go to events and other things by going by myself. It's not her fault, but if she's not dedicated or that interested, I can't be wasting my time. I know other people that are willing to go out for a night with me, and I'm not just going to sit at home because she decides not to go out.

She ends up telling me how much she likes me, and making up a complete lie about why she hasn't been able to find time. I know it's BS, but I let her pretend that I believe it in hopes of pushing the conversation forward so I can figure out wtf is up. So ends her hamstering with, "And honestly, I don't trust you."

I assumed she was talking about a relationship level since she knows that I want her to find other chicks to bring into the relationship, as well as me stating before that I think men are naturally polygamous, on top of the fact that I do have women frequently talking to me. But nope.

After talking to her, she expanded saying that she physically doesn't feel safe around me, and that I'm "violent, short tempered, and aggressive." This totally threw me out of my frame. I do box recreationally, workout, and do enjoy fighting -- not to win or lose to prove myself, but just the thrill of the fight. I simply like to fight. I RARELY street fight, and instead bring it to the ring and mosh occasionally at concerts in a non-violent way. But yes, certainly fighting is something I enjoy doing.

I have never, nor will I ever hit a woman. I don't care if it's a female Hitler. I simply wont do that. More than that, I am not a fighter in general. I'm not the type that gets aggressive with other guys, acts like a prick, or generally starts shit. I actually try to diffuse fights, and use violence as a last resort in self defense only.

I assume she knows this, but still used it as a weasled attempt at finding something to lay on me. But I just didn't know how to respond to it. I felt offended and completely lost my frame. In the context of the argument, I couldn't think of a very good retort. All I could do was tell her how much what she just said offended me, and that if I ever make you feel physically unsafe, or even another man for that matter, leave immediately because that's not who I want to be. She then changed subject, but I know my answer wasn't very good. It just completely caught me off guard. Out of all the things someone could say to me, that was the last one I'd expect.

I rarely ever ask questions around here, but this issue is new to me.
