If you’re generally sarcastic and known to have a good sense of humor you can tell her to have a great time and to not wear a condom, with a sly grin (agree and amplify). Or you can straight up tell her your boundaries such as, “No girlfriend of mine asks me what to reply to her ex since it’s a no-brainer.” I would keep this in mind as a red flag, but that’s just me.

Dread game. Don't respond. Be unavailable for at least tonight, Ideally for a day or two. When she wants to talk about it say "oh, I thought that was a joke, I figured there was no way you'd be that dumb." This will probably lead to a fight, in which you need to stay cool, and hit her with the "yeah, this probably isn't gonna work for me" and let her try to earn you back.

If you think that's harsh, just remember what she's doing is just as manipulative and disrespectful; she's letting you know she's not quite sure how much she values the relationship.

On it's face, the question is fucking retarded isn't it? Like how fucking hard is it to come up with "sorry, I have a boyfriend?" So that can't be the real question, as you know, since you correctly defined this as a shit test. She's looking to branch swing and she's trying to make you reactive to her bullshit so she can feel it's a good idea. It seems clear to me she's way too comfortable with you, sending out this level of a shit test.

A serious reply is playing into her frame that the question is legit, and letting her know by playing along with her bullshit that her you value her so much you're willing to play along with an absolutely ludicrous setup. You've got to break that frame by making her emotional, and worried she's going to lose you.

You also need to pull back from her a reasonable amount in the aftermath of this, and let her hamster spin about where your mind is at since she tested you so disastrously. Time to go radio silent when you used to reply immediately to her reaching out, and shooting her down on plans occasionally "yeah I think me and the boys are going out tonight." I wouldn't get too invested in this one anyway and start looking around, this is a big red flag of a shit test.

Happened to me, although it was after 1.5 months. She hit me up with the "X (I knew the guy) is coming to town next week, he said he wanted to see me, and I kinda want to see him just to see how he is. Would that bother you?".

I didn't play around and you shouldn't. I established a hard boundary right there. It wasn't over text but I saw her that day and told her something along "I don't know what kind of impression I gave you, but you must have had the wrong one. To even ask this question is crossing a boundary to me, and I want it to be clear to you that you've already fucked up. Now you're always free to do whatever you want, but I want this to be clear, that's not okay with me, never will be, and if you decide to go you'll be going as a single woman."

Then she tried to follow up with the bullshit like "But why, it's just to see how he is doing and all that, there's nothing wrong". I told her I don't play those games and I won't even discuss this shit with her, I told her my piece now it's her decision. She didn't go. She's no longer my LTR for different reasons but she never ever strayed again

the key to the follow up conversation, if you choose to even have one:

a) do not get angry, AM and NGAF, truly do not care as at this point since you see who she is. Remember: if she's shitting on you now, during the honeymoon phase, dood it's only gonna get worse, demote, ghost, whatever. What a fucking rude cunt.

b) the AM side, should be real. Only if you choose to interact, breath it, live it, believe it. your reality must be the stronger reality (ie: Frame).

Example: when my wife last said something snarky and bossy a few months ago, something like: ordering me to grab a basket of laundry (no "please", no 'when you next head upstairs, take this one up, ok'? just: "take that upstairs") I ignored her and went upstairs. She came stomping up a few minutes later: "did you not hear my request?" me: "oh!!! (smiling) you were talking to me? I logically assumed you were talking to one of the kids, because my wife wouldn't bark an order at me like that..." And then STFU, not angry, just with a slight smile on my face.... and sure enough, she looked down and apologized and realized she was being a bitch, and DEERed me on why she was cranky and blah blah blah. If i was butthurt and grumpy and DEERed her first or some BP bullshit, things would have been different then and guess who now is more polite when asking for help? (and knows to ask the kids first for BS help like that).

Last time a girlfriend asked me a very similar question, I told her not to ever ask me something so fucking dumb again. She got the point. Still though, if you hard nexted her, I wouldn't blame you.
