I really don't see a problem with texting a plate every once in a while just for conversation, just don't be the one to start it.

If she texts you about your day or something, just respond with some short answers, ask her how hers is. The bare minimum, pretty much. If you feel like interest is going down for her, then shoot her a text out of the blue, something about the weather, don't matter, just don't respond within seconds and don't try to keep the conversation going. Just something small to let HER know that she's still on your mind in one way or another.

The whole point is to not look needy/desperate. Despite what most people on this sub will tell you, there are ways to do that other than using texts strictly for making plans.

Texting a chick on Tinder is a different story though. You get a number off Tinder, you text them right away or a day later (depending on interest level), let them know it's you, then setup a date.

I feel like a lot of people on here think there's a strict formula to follow with women. Even though AWALT, each one is still unique in one way or the other, and each situation calls for different strategies.

AWALT is so overused on this subreddit it's ridiculous. AWALT is there for those guys who complain that "I did everything she asked for." "I was so nice why did she dump me." "How could she fuck some asshole." It isn't there to say that all women are exactly the same in every way.

Don't text with women at all - or limit it only to setting up additional dates. Women flake a lot so I actually think it's in every man's best interest to pick up the phone and actually talk to the woman in question. Tell her you're in between appointments and you want to make plans for another date. People generally have a harder time blowing someone off when they're actually talking to them verbally, and not just through text.

I would recommend shortening the time between when you invite her on a date and when the date begins. For example, if you text her on Monday, invite her for drinks on Tuesday night.

It's ok if she feels like you are uninetersted.

That just raises your SMV for when you do decide to text her.
