Jordan Belfort Straight line of persuasion. Would do wonders for you. And don't listen to people telling you not to learn to sell. Everyone sells from Steve jobs, bill gates to Elon musk.

My path:

Get a shitty commission only sales job. Something door to door is awesome.
See who's really good at it. Learn what they are doing.
Apply build and become the top seller in your office.
Quit your shitty job and find something you can sell and keep the dollhairs.
Profit!

You want person to person sales - something simple. One of my first jobs when I was 18 was selling people discount coupons for various things. You had to walk around and approach people at malls and crowded areas (food courts were best) and pitch them. It was amazing for removing fear of approach and also learning a script and how to deliver a sales pitch seamlessly.

Check your local newspaper or local magazines and in the help wanted section they will likely have a couple of companies looking for younger sales reps for "promotional work" or "make a ton of money this summer!" type of ads. The job will suck and you won't make a lot of money - but you will learn a ton.

I sold encyclopedias door to door at 17. I've sold coupons, photocopiers, cars, etc. It gives you a boatload of useful skills.

I have sold computers. beef jerky but mainly cars and to this day I still have a little bit of Ziglar in the back of my mind. A lot of relating to the customers needs and desires. Active listening. Getting the customer to agree with you even if it means saying an obvious statement like "we are on earth right?" I have forgotten more sales techniques then I can even remember.

You know how to do it -- its innate in every, single one of us. At some point in life, sales became a dirty word and so you became reluctant to do so.

Instead of learning how to sell something learn a skill that allows you produce something valuable and you will never need to sell, people will sell to you.
