How do passive aggressive, cowardly, conflict avoidant men who can't fight act so smug and seem to think highly of themselves?

a lot of ppl like that like to pretend that they are so incredibly ethical and in control of themselves... but they avoid real conflict and real situations like the plague.. i think deep down they know that when presented with the real thing they will be inadequate. they have to maintain the illusion at all costs or their personality will implode.

I don’t really see this phenomena irl. Most of the straight feminine and cowardly dudes I’ve met try everything they can to avoid rustling anyone’s feathers because they know they can’t fight. And part of that is treating everyone else like they are better than you.

Something I learned about fighting... No one likes to get hit. Guy may be bigger than you but he's gonna take a hit to the face too and that's not pleasant. People that are obviously fighters and aggressive, just stay away from them.

Confidence comes with age, too. As people age they become less aggressive. Also, you realize with age that fights don't really happen that much. Aggressive hormonal young men are annoying anyways so people generally stay away from them. You might find them at the bar or something, but you're playing with fire going there anyways.

If you're a young man in highschool or something, well sorry it just sucks around that time. Strength in numbers and lift weights to at least make the aggressive people think twice. Don't have to walk around all macho, though. Muscle will speak for itself.

Remember though, 2 men are almost always more intimidating than one, strength in numbers.

Also I grew up with an aggressive father and I was in the military with 1000s of aggressive men and you just learn how to have an air about you where people don't fuck with you but you're not being aggressive yourself. It's like "respect me, I respect you, let's be civil."

Kind of like my dog, I will play with her and let her get a little rough but I keep a bit of alertness that she knows if she goes overboard I will get mad.

How would you know a man is cowardly, avoids conflict, and cant fight?

Passive aggressiveness is my biggest pet peeve, I hate passive aggressiveness.

But I feel like I am a man who avoids conflict, I dont know if I even know how to fight cause I havent been in one. Does that make me feminine?

What constitutes "Having a back bone"? And in what situation are these characteristics even being displayed?
