Stop having imagined conversations in your head. "I know she'll bring up confrontation to confirm I was ignoring her". No, you don't know that. There are many reasons why she will avoid that topic. Most of which include "because she doesn't want to hear the answer".

If she does bring it up, you were just busy. She already read the subtext, she knows that she lost your attention, whether you do so intentionally or not. She will either work to correct it, or she won't. But nothing you explain will help your case. STFU.
