Hey ASKTRP, my issue right now is being commanding (Saying "Go do this.." instead of "Can you go do this...?"). I don't have a problem with doing it, with the exception that I don't like it being done to me (I don't like being bossed around). When I do this, I can't help but think I am being really hypocritical, and that is not a good way for people to respect you, or even a good thing to be.
TRP preaches that you don't want to ask for everything, you want to be assertive, dominant, and be more commanding. However, we are also told not to let people boss us around either (which is very understandable because that shit gets old quick).
What is the best way to go about this? Just keep doing it and if someone does it to me just ignore and continue being commanding? Don't be as commanding / Do it less often? Is my own personal definition of being "bossed around" wrong (someone ordering you to do a task instead of asking)?
Thanks for the help.
