How do you respond when she doesn’t give a direct yes?

As a general rule, anything other than an enthusiastic yes, is a no.

I reckon you should assume the sale, tell her to meet you at whatever time. Don't be surprised if she flakes on you. Better off asking her to do something you actually want to do, which you were going to do anyway regardless if she is lucky enough to come or not.

Just say "alright, then meet me at x at x:00. Bring your game face." or some stupid shit.

I bet she will say no, but sometimes you get a yes. It's worth a try, just to polarize in order to stop wasting time.

Like others have said, I don't even want to go out with someone who's not a "hell yes". Not worth my time.

If you explicitly asked her and she responded like that, it would seem she doesn’t want to go. I’d move on
