I don't consider my plates sluts for having sex with me. I also do not assume that they aren't sluts. They are Schrödinger's sluts; they are at the same time sluts and not-sluts until they are observed being in either state.

I don't find spinning plates empty because I only keep plates around that add other value to my life. I had some for a while that were just good sex, but they end up getting replaced with some that I also enjoy spending time with. In answer to the specific question. Having multiple partners has stopped me from making sacrifices to keep a woman happy in the hopes that my sex life continues. I now spend time with them because I want to. I do things because I enjoy it. I enjoy the time I spend with my plates more because I'm not doing any of it to get laid. I know I can get laid, so instead, I'm doing things because we enjoy doing them. And then I get laid anyway. When I don't enjoy their company anymore, they can be replaced with someone else.
I also have to bonus of not fooling myself it doesn't work the other way. I know that at any point they might just feel like they don't want to do this anymore. They might seek more comfort, more money, more validation, whatever. And I won't have to waste time thinking they owe me some commitment and I've been wronged.
