The Art of communicating. What you are doing is not an effective way of having a conversation. An interesting conversational flow does not come about through doing a series of questions and answers, she may as well be a celebrity and you are just the lowly interviewer asking her for her thoughts/opinions. What helps me is to TELL them about myself, lead the conversation, but also pay attention to them and keep them engaged in various conversational ways. It truly is an art and science to have an awesome conversation that BOTH parties enjoy.

Do interesting shit = having interesting shit to talk about.

There is so much more to it than that. There are entire books written on this topic.

The whole conversation screams boring.

This type of conversation is called "interview".

Tease them, employ AM, be fun and why are you texting this stuff anyways. Setup logistics and banter in person.
