Avoid the addict social scenes. Beer, drugs and video games are for consumers not doers.

Go to the gym. Start talking to people at the gym. Go from there.

Find something you like to do that other people do. Indoor rock climbing, pistol shooting - anything. Go there, do that, and have fun. Meet people who like doing similar things.

Dancing lessons are doing it for me. It's not the only thing I do but I signed up for casino style salsa. I've met cool guys, fun girls and salsa helps you to be more dominant with women and most importantly tunes your body language skills. Then you can search for social dance gatherings on Facebook. Latin music clubs gather very diverse crowds and girls digg dancing.

Just picture this, if you can dance, any girl that can't will shine with you. And they love it.

the gym or local martial arts dojo
shooting range
volunteer somewhere to burn some time
