Short answer: You can't

Long answer: Pick your favorite style of meditation (I recommend vipassana or just anapana) and start meditating

This is mainly diet. It’s always, or usually diet. Your body’s fundamental structure is literally not strong enough to handle itself. So you have to eat the highest vibrational foods also known as the most easily digested, absorbed, and utilizable foods. These are raw animal products. Most people don’t eat raw meat anymore and they are practically falling apart mentally and physically. You are one of many.

You have to think of it like there are literally holes in your brain and body that need to be filled with structural integrity, otherwise you are going to feel like you are falling apart, compared to a healthy animal eating its natural diet.

Meditation is just being a witness to your own thoughts and learning how your thoughts (your brain’s reflection based on memory and stimulus) run.

When you say you have a weak emotions, understand that emotions are just a physical manifestation of mental exhaust from mistakenly predicted or desired expectations.

So with structural integrity (or not), you must know what to expect at any given time, otherwise you are going to feel “emotional” which, again, is your body trying to inform you that a misunderstanding has taken place. Until you come to understand what has been missed, you will not be able to accept your reality, causing emotional stress and you will diagnose yourself with what many refer to as “monkey brain“, being unable to be centered at any time.

Just research hungry animals and malnourished animals and you’ll understand they all act the same way, and it’s simply because they are malnourished.

So if you’re going to meditate and you’re not going to change your diet this is my advice:

Allow yourself to learn, over several sessions of meditation, how your mind shifts from concept to concept and allow it to jump on its own. At any point you can stop and you can try to analyze why your mind is still going on about things that you should be understanding. Once you understand the particular concepts that you analyzed, it will no longer be in your mind.

But if you are malnourished, you will always have to meditate becuase any focus without nutrition will be removed from reality.

try to find where they emerge from in your mind...for me its like a black sea and they pop up from somewhere...once you have that youll find that you can shut them off.

Significantly reduce intake of media. That includes any bullshit on your phone like social media’s including Reddit as well as Netflix, games, any shit that can effect your brain.

I’m glad people know the effects that your foods have on your mental. The best way to fight rumination is to ensure your endocrine system is in check. They run your hormones & therefore, your thoughts and actions. Your thoughts and actions affect behavior & emotions. That’s why they call it “guts”. Eat unprocessed, unrefined foods full of healthy fats & you’ll think better. That’s a promise.

The second thing is, nothing fights thoughts better than actions. If you’re busy focusing on your passion/purpose/work - anything productive - your thoughts will be kept at bay. But you must obviously thoroughly focus in on it. Work is worth it & rewarding if it’s done with an abundance of focus.

The 3rd & arguably most important thing is to understand that most of your thoughts are not your own. Thoughts tend to not be a reflection of you nor are they a part of you. Your mind works by just having ideas & things floating around in there. Thoughts are just you happening to have become aware of them. You’re meant to simply notice them, realize that they will either help you or they are meaningless. The only ones worth getting attached to are the ones that spring you into productivity & happiness.

Not a direct answer to your question, but still relevant. Nir Eyal discusses steps to avoid distractions when working:

Develop self-awareness to be in tune with your emotions before you're distracted
Write down what set off those emotions
Feel the emotions as they pass through you
Be aware of the emotions before switching modes from doing one thing to another; when you feel an urge to do something unproductive, feel the urge, and let it pass through you

All of this is connected to meditation, and self-awareness. Check out the Headspace app, which will walk you through various mindfulness techniques.

You can't control your thoughts. But you can control how you react to and interpret those thoughts. Take the judgement out of your thoughts and just them flow through you.

That way when you're studying and you randomly think of that embarrassing thing you did years ago it will just stump you for a minute and not 10.

Eventually your thoughts will change when you have different experiences and a positive mindset.

I hate book recommendations but you should read The Power of Now. Its one of the few self help books I've read that was totally worth reading.

You let go of all thoughts with dispassion as they arise - neti neti, this is known as the razor's edge in spirituality and a bit overkill for your average redpiller.
