Don't do it, last October I was in a very depressed time because my ex left me and I wanted her back at the time. Save yourself the trouble and just work on yourself, if she really likes you, she'll come back.

Trust me man, it's just really not worth it. Unless there was some singular problem that could easily be solved now, just forget about her and find a new girl.

Seriously. I spent like 2 years dating my ex on and off and trying to fix things and get back together. If it ends up taking a lot of work to fix things, just move on and start fresh.

Helpful things for moving on:

Write a list of things you don't like about her and what made you two incompatible. Keep it handy for whenever you start getting feelings for her again.
Cut off all contact with her. Block her on absolutely everything.
Start casually seeing other girls, but pace yourself and also give yourself time to recover/regain confidence etc.

I would focus on improving myself and talking to other girls, especially if she's the one who broke up with you, which I assume is probably what happened. You seem to be experiencing oneitis.

Once you improve yourself and deal with more girls, you will realize no girl is that special. This will also keep you from being needy, and will naturally attract her once she realizes she is not the center of your world.

Lastly, she is going to have to be the one who pushes for a relationship, otherwise you will just end up chasing her, which will make her feel like she's too good for you.

I would personally avoid exes, at most I would make her a fwb.

Don’t go back to an ex. The time and effort you put into that could be used for self improvement and that is going to pay off WAY more than chasing another human or trying to convince them to come back.
