So you are good at giving her validation on the phone when she is bored. In the future you would be best to use texting only for logistics. For example, to ask her out say "What day are you free next week". She will know that you are asking her out.

Why risk it? Plan the second date on the first date. Mention something you want to show her, allude to something you did, whatever. Put the thought for the second date in her head before the first is over.

It's known as "having something in common". Even if you just made it up.

If you legitimately failed to do so on the first date, make it up. Play it as if you did. "I'm booking our flight to Italy, how's this weekend?" Stupid, but better than nothing, if you mentioned you had been to Italy once, even if you didn't actually invite her. Of course you don't actually take her to Italy, but now you're talking about dates.

Either she says no or ignores, then you move on, or she yes to that date or another time.

This is big for me because I have never recovered from a bad first date. If i could pull this off it would be sick.
