I have been seeing this girl for a little bit over a month now. I have been vetting her along with other dates for that time. So far, she has had no obvious red flags but something came up tonight that irked me.

I was driving her home and she asked if I was mad at her. She then said we need to be honest with each other and communicate. I told her I enjoyed my time with her but the things that bothered me was when she'd throw these little pout fits over dumb things. For example I made a smoothie after working out and she was upset I didn't make her one and tried to take my other half. I told her she could make her own and she got upset at me.

Long story short, I said that her pouting during those few times is something I didn't like and she responded with "well maybe you're not really good at dating people".

I then calmly told her I don't like my character being attacked and that what she said was disrespectful and I'll keep what she said in mind. She basically tried to justify herself with some bs. She eventually apologized but left obviously upset and resentful.

Did I approach this situation correctly? And how should I proceed given she is LTR material barring this small incident without breaking my masculine frame?
