I guess I reached that point. The point of burning out.

Both mentally and physically.

I’ve been on a self improvement grind for a long fucking time and I can’t remember when I last had a real cheat meal, a real cheat day or serious rest in general.

Been lifting for 6 days a week (always reaching failure in every workout) for a few months now and realised my strength not only stalled but also went down.

In the last weeks I developed a strong annoying insomnia that is fucking me up completely.

As soon as I enter the gym, I already feel tired before even beginning. Can’t think clearly. Loss of mental focus. Constant fatigue. Loss of vision of my goals.

I guess I overtrained. While some people think overtraining is bullshit, I’m having all its symptoms.

And I guess It’s completely possible as I’ve been pushing myself for months with the belief “Wanting to rest is just weakness”, and here’s the result.

I’ve been on a cut for 2 months on January-February and I guess that’s the period when I started falling down.

I was lifting too much and eating too little. Got to like 10% bf but was feeling like shit so I got back on a clean bulk.

I know I should probably ask a doctor instead of coming here, and I guess I’ll have to take 2 weeks of complete rest. I know that’s the solution. I know that’s what I should do.

But I don’t fucking do it. Just the thought of staying away from the gym for 2 weeks makes me sick.

Am I a retard for thinking like this?

What’s your suggestion?

Edit: And I’m sure the caloric intake question will come up. I’m on a caloric surplus right now, but it does not seem to help.
