I hear two seemingly contradictory things in RP theory. Am I mistaken?

You're having trouble putting yourself in the mindset of a woman.

When you're a woman, 80% of all men are completely invisible to you. If one of those 80% ever gets in your way or does anything that forces you to focus your gaze and attention on them for a minute, it is fucking annoying.

The only attention that matters is the attention from the top 20% of men. All other men are completely invisible.

So when a formerly good-looking woman spends her 20s partying, drinking too much, doing drugs, and smoking, then by the time she's 35, she has wrinkles around the eyes, has put on a few pounds, and her skin and hair don't have their old luster. She still looks okay-ish, just not super hot.

She could still go to a bar and find a man willing to fuck her in about 30 seconds. But the men who she can attract aren't the same caliber of man she's used to fucking. A larger portion of the men she can now attract fall into that 80% of men whose attention annoys her, rather than excites her.

"The wall" isn't strictly an age thing. It's more of a hotness thing. Some women remain hot enough to get attention from the hot guys even when they're older. Some women are dumpy fatasses at age 18 and never get hot guys.

Any woman, except for the most grotesque obese burn victims with deformities, could find SOME man to fuck them, tonight, in about 30 seconds, at a bar. But it wouldn't be a man she wants.

There's a little more nuance to it than that, but basically yes, that's how it plays out.

A solid 9 may only slide to being a high 7 (let's say) once she enters her post wall phase of life, still giving her a wealth of options that a pre-wall 4 can only ever dream of having at her disposal.

So to take a real life example, I guarantee you Pamela Anderson still has hordes of men willing to pay money to lick her asshole, but Rosie O'Donnel never had and never will have that sort of power.

Post wall women can still find men in the loosest sense of the word because whoever they can get to support them will be, well, a 'man' choosing to settle down with a post wall female. That's not in the playbook here of things to do to be a good man.

Young, attractive women basically have the world by the balls for a few years for sure.

Here's the thing.

Pre wall women seek two kinds of partners. Attractive men that can seduce them and reliable men that offer good prospects for relationships can swoon them. AFs, and BBs. How much they value each kind of men varies with the girl.

Post wall women are much more sensitive to BB guys and will often avoid attractive men they used to pick up pre wall because they don't offer good prospects. The post wall woman restricts her choices by raising her "just sex" threshold.
Now, as she changes her mind and restricts her pool, post wall women are often also in an age that causes their attractiveness to fall fast. This lowers her reach and pool even more.

To worsen things for them, as the time passes the men that used to be interested in women their tier become more demanding as they get more seasoned. The clumsy and inexperienced 26yo guy that would gladly commit to a 7 chick reaches 30yo with sharper game and somewhat used to pump and dump 7s.
Some women end up unable to match their expectations, their looks and their strategy.
