I still don't get it. "Love"

It's not so much that it's fake, as that men and women do not love the same. Men love unconditionally, loyally, whereas women love conditionally. A woman's love can be switched on and off seemingly at random. This is possibly an evolutionary response, and an explanation for how women can branch swing so easily (a response to a need for a new mate, more security, more resources, etc. for their offspring).

Like many men, you are likely equating what you think of as love to the feelings you held towards your mother as a young boy (assuming you had a decent one), and no woman will ever love you like that. Women are only capable of loving their children unconditionally, and in my direct experience with my ex, even that is not a guarantee.

It's probably best to keep it to yourself. If you're with a girl and she says it first, say it back if you want. The problem lies with protecting yourself so that when it all eventually crashes down, you're able to walk away relatively unscathed. Never say it to a woman before she does. Ever. Women love the chase as much as men do, and making them work for your attention/affection drives them absolutely wild.

You have to understand that L.O.V.E. is a chemical lobotomy. Nature put it there because otherwise, you would be too realist/negativist about women and you wouldn't fuck them, to perpetuate those genes. It's a temporary blindness to aspects of reality. Might there be a higher kind of love in the human brain, that is correlated to higher morals and stuff, but the basic lustful kind of love is there just for that.
