You read the title. Since the falling out, I've applied myself to lifting, reading, studying, working my internship, etc. Becoming my best self, and I'm making serious headway across all areas. Even on my longest ever NoFap streak and feeling way less depressed and more masculine as a result

But for the love of Christ, I absolutely cannot get over this girl. Every second that I'm alone, my mind goes straight back to how she is "soooo perfect for me" and how I might have "missed out" by not continuing to be disrespected and that I might not ever get a girl of that caliber again. It drives me absolutely fucking nuts.

Despite the empirical evidence that she was at best case, an unreliable girl with way too many friends and orbiters, and at worst, an absolute liar that I meant hardly anything to.

Objectively, she was not what my mind created her to be. I built a fantasy person on the fringe of reality. That's the truth, and she isn't all that. But my mind is still giving me these fucking signals of feelings and missing her because she was the first hot girl that I did anything with.

Is this a matter of me now just going out and dating other women? It seems like I'm handling everything else as best I can, and this one area I am neglecting.
