Yeah, once they've figured out you won't bulge to any of their manipulation tactics their long-term interest goes away.

On the plus side, they are usually easy to get back together with at a later point.

Being reactive is a loser philosophy - you should be proactive instead. You should invent some drama and action, since you are too stoic to let them do that to you.

A bit anecdotal but I have yet to meet any guy in this kind of relationship where his gf was not thinking about leaving him or straight up was down to cheat.

The last time I saw it the chick told me her bf used to be her friend, and I knew he was a pussy before I even saw him. And when I did? He had a shouting match with her over whether or not a comment she made was "rude." A few months later, after seeing me for the first time since, the very first thing she told me was that she was single. If you want to be that guy, go right ahead.
