Hey.

My LTR and I (both 20) have been dating a year now. We work well together, have a lot of sex, captain first mate, yadda yadda.

My LTR has been sick for the past 4 months and it's really wearing on me. She has ovarian cysts that won't go away. They cause her extreme pain in her abdomen and a stinging pain in her vagina. Treatment hasn't worked so the best a doctor has told her is just "wait and let it go away."

This has affected all areas of our relationship. She is constantly irritable and upset because of the pain. We barely have sex. Sometimes the pain will go away for a few days at a time and we go back to doing it constantly, but the pain always comes back and we won't have sex for weeks at a time. She's also become incredibly emotionally needy. I don't have the time to constantly be with her in her room since she doesn't feel like going out and socializing much.

My frustration around all this has been boiling up and hit a certain point yesterday.

I suggested for our friend group to go eat at a certain place. She doesn't like that place and got mad at me for suggesting it.

As we were leaving, in an annoyed voice, she said "why did you say so and so place?"

I told her to not get mad at me for suggesting somewhere to eat. She then decided to not join us and do homework instead. I havent seen her since then. I went out with some friends to a couple bars last night and talked up some girls.

Today we had the following text conversation:

Her: Hey. Sorry I got mad yesterday

Me: I don't like being talked to that way

Her: What way?

Me: Getting angry for making a suggestion

Her: I wasn’t angry

Me: I didn't appreciate it

She didn't answer and I didn't engage her further because she wasn't making sense. She apologized for being mad and when I told her I didn't like her being angry with me she said she wasn't.

This is a lot but how do I proceed from here? Do I continue to engage her or wait for her to engage me first?

Thanks for any help.

TL;DR LTR's sickness wearing on relationship, fought yesterday.
