Hey guys,

Been in this LTR for about 19 months now.

Everything is generally good, frequent sex, we see each other a lot and get along awesomely. My birthday was a month ago and she surprised me on vacation with lots of small gifts that add up to a nifty price, so I'm sure there's a lot of emotional investment on her part.

But something in her behaviour is kinda weird in terms of saying "I love you". We used to say that a lot and each time someone did, the other would reciprocate and say it back.

At some point she would stop saying it back when I did, so I just started saying it less because I don't like games, especially when I'm being vulnerable to her. She still says it and still says it back, but only like half the time.

I should mention that I always maintain that 2:3 golden ratio of love declarations, but that started and I didn't think of it much.

Then after some time goes by she hits me with that "you don't say it enough". I don't care too much for it and don't really give up a response, but she will tell me that I don't say it enough every now and then and I really don't feel like saying it much since she really devalued it in my eyes once she made it into a game.

Thoughts? I know it seems like some beta rant but I wonder what would be a proper way of handling this. I'm not sure if it's a comfort test or not.
