I'm going to(try to) make it as simple as possible to understand, from my perspective.(Happily married to an HB8)

During her period she is all over the place. In this time, she can be moody and five minutes later be a sweetheart. This is a time to stay proactive and behave like an oak. Strong, but ready to shelter her from the storm at a moments notice. I tend to spend my time outdoors, working on the car, doing yardwork, go play darts with the boys. She will simply see me as a busy man with lots of shit to do and me owning it. Once the period is over, each day she will start to slowly ratchet up the shit tests and sassy behavior as she gets closer to ovulation. EDIT: Do not try to communicate with her overtly about this stuff. For one, nature hides a woman's ovulation from her better than it does from us. There are evolutionary explanations for this that are another discussion entirely, but let's just say she wants to believe she's horny because you're hawt. Don't kill the romance.

I think it varies from woman to woman.

With my LTR, it happens about 1-2 days prior, she's 26. Saying things they don't mean is right on point — sometimes the things don't even make coherent sense. I find around menstruation is when the alpha/beta split seems to lean far right, as in there are waaaaay more comfort tests and passing them is all about.

Comfort tests often come in question format, which makes them look similar to shit tests.

How to detect: Her tone of voice will change to a "reassure me", little girl tone. Usually when she is near her period comfort tests will increase. So be aware of her cycle during the month.
