Why does everyone on here advice to live to "higher standards" blah blah blah. Isn't the point of this sub to get results and be amoral?
Morality is saying ”you should not do that because it is bad”. That has nothing to do with helping guys live to higher standards.
If a guy wants to bareback every girl he fucks or LTR a girl who has red flags after their first fuck — neither is morally bad, they are just inefficient for his long term goals.
Isn't it just plain acknowledged facts that we are sacks of meat floating on a relatively unimportant rock and that the universe is destined for either a) heat death (Elon Musk approves) or b) the 'big rip'?

TRP is amoral. It is not a moral system, it’s strategies that help men get laid.
Then again, saying that we are meat sacks and that morality doesn’t matter is incorrect. We have some moral systems because these moral systems have been successful over the last 5000 years. Some of these moral systems work better for society than they do for individuals. I do believe TRP does teach you which moral rules are good for you personally and which are good for society. Figuring out the moral framework that works for you is actually important. The idea that you don’t need a moral framework is not supported by evidence. People without a moral framework are generally not successful. We are social animals, you are not going to be successful by being completely selfish.
you're the first logical answer... but isn't the same framework that works for society the one that tells us to be providers and to marry one woman and be loyal? I mean I get the whole trust in nature thing but we're past that. its really irrelevant. we ARE sacks of meat on a planet that's in a galaxy that's destined for nothingness. I think you missed my point. They are arbitrary virtues but not imaginary virtues. Morality is somewhat based in biology. We have always had to strive against adversity. We have a biological drive to strive against adversity. If you don’t have actual adversity, you manufacture adversity. This is often bad for us. You get life satisfaction from striving against adversity. Hedonism is ultimately not very good for you. Not having had kids, I live a fairly hedonistic lifestyle. It is difficult to stay motivated. Jordan Petersen covers this “pick up a load you can carry and carry it.” The universe is enormous and you are small and ultimately there’s no lasting meaning. This means you have to make your own meaning. This doesn’t make meaning less important, it makes it more important. TRP teaches you the skills to allow you to deal with one of the aspects of life that tends to tear you down. While TRP is amoral, it does provide a stable base upon which you can build a moral system.
The universe is enormous and you are small and ultimately there’s no lasting meaning. This means you have to make your own meaning. This doesn’t make meaning less important, it makes it more important.

The facts are that your brain has evolved in a way so that it cares about morality. And other people’s brains care about morality. So this idea that morality doesn’t matter is not true.
Creating a moral system is difficult. Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

Why does AWALT matter? Because, when you assume people are insecure and immoral, you ain't gonna get caught off guard when they cheat on you, nor is it going to be an emotionally crippling experience.
My job isn't to make a woman feel validated or secure, my job is to surround myself with people who I can trust, rely on, and enjoy their company.
