To give you an idea of my situation. I have been working at a small but successful startup company for bout 8 months. Recently, the owner (not a public company) was killed in a car accident. He didn't have a will, he was a driven, intelligent and talented man with alpha qualities... Him and I got along and he liked the work I did. Now things are getting chaotic with our leader gone. Between investors, appraisers and a power vacuum, the future of the company is uncertain. This is where I am seeking advice: this Monday I was written up for a minor infraction by the interim manager. I should mention this fuck up was minor and ultimately inconsequential. Since I started I have busted my ass, and produced good work and generally have good report with my colleagues with the exception of a couple people (both huuuge SJW's). The write up was in the vain of: if you fuck up again you're out. Just to give you the attitude of the workplace, more serious things than my fuckup by others are laughed off on a daily basis. It seems I have gained the ire of someone. Should I double down and pressure flip and return fire? Be passive and hope this will pass with new management (an option I'll admit I'm not keen on)? Go hard and do better than I already do? Looking for some advice lay it on me.
