Not having stuff is "creepy"?

I was on a trip with them recently and during dinner she basically called me out on this (in front of our other friends). She said that if I bring a girl back she is not going to be impressed and that it is "kind of creepy".

She is not trying to help you here. She is shit testing you, else she would have said something in private. She can't figure you out and that keeps her on edge.

You failed that cause you aren't secure in yourself and start asking yourself these questions

Can someone explain this to me? I just want to know the logic of it being creepy to have an empty bedroom. Will women think it is weird to not have a lot of stuff? Is she right (After all, she is giving her perspective as a woman)?

Yes of course it is weird, it is different, it is not normal, it is not safe.

But the real question is. Is giving off the vibe of a psychopathic serial killer going to stop women from fucking you?

This woman sees you as weak. Her whole monologue was just to emasculate you in front of the group and earn status points for herself by publicly dominating you. As others have said, if she wanted to be a friend, she could have said something privately, rather than publicly creep-shaming you.

She's a bitch, and if I was in your place I would find a weakness and verbally eviscerate her in front of the group. Women will stop attacking when they know you are willing to retaliate. You just don't want to get overtly aggro or butthurt about this. The insults need to be subtle and deniable -- like an off-hand remark that she is fat or old looking.

As for your room, if that's how you like it then don't change over this. I remember reading some article that back in the day, Steve Jobs' room was nothing more than a mattress on the floor and a record player. His apartment was empty because the only thing he gave a fuck about was working on Apple.

So yea, an empty room says nothing more than that -- you do not care to decorate your room at this juncture. If a woman has the tingles for you this will not be an issue. She may comment on it, suggest some ideas, or even offer to decorate for you, but if she is truly into you this will not drive her away.

All that said, he cool looking bedroom can help seal the deal with women you bring home for one night stands. A nice touch but by no means essential.

Everything communicates who you are, so does game so does your stuff. Lack of game and shit makes you a empty vessel, a "no one" in her emotional map of the world, the prospect of being intimate with "no one" is creepy. Think of it like having sex with a sexually ambiguous animated sex doll. That is how you feel like if you lack expression of who you are(game, stuff or a personality)

What she said was bullshit, don't let it bother you, it's a grain of truth that managed to escape someone's mouth, albeit harshly and unnecessarily in public in front of friends. If you catch a woman dripping period blood, you wouldn't call her out in front of her friends. She had terrible social tact. Fuck it, take it in stride.

Better yet, fuck her. Take her back to your room, and said, "My room is better since the last time you visited, how bout we start off where we left off?" Fuck her. Cause fuck it.

You are a natural minimalist. So what. I think what creeped her out is the lack of personality in your room. Get wall art, or have some token of a hobby on display (guitar on a stand, a collection of vinyl records etc.), You could have a anchor piece of furniture or decoration, e.g if your room is very white or monotone, have a chair, pot plant or standing lamp that is brightly coloured. Check out /r/minimalism. A lot of people post their minimalistic, non creepy, rooms.

I would have said "so, you 've been thinking a lot about my bed?" with a smile on my face. If you like your room keep it that way. Don't let others make you doubt or feel bad about yourself. If you want to change it, I personally like black and white photos.

Im a minimalist. I have a small number of awesome, expensive things. Most chicks are hoarders and have all kinds of bullshit that clutters up the place and your mind.

Clean, uncluttered, bare place = clean mind.

As a woman, yes it's creepy. A empty space gives no sense of your personality. If we walk in on that we wonder if we walked into the den of a psychopath serial killer. Is this completely logical, no, but it is how it is.

Who gives a shit about the impression your room gives. It is not her place to judge.

Men do not rely on the environment to feel good about themselves. It does not affect our mood.

Women, on the other hand, are affected by the weather, the environment and all kinds of things to make them in a good mood.

You room is not creepy, it is just a man's room.

In your continuing quest to better yourself and learn as much about the world as possible, I would suggest visiting museums, lots of museums, galleries, high-end furniture stores (bring a date, even a friendzone date - chicks love this shit).

Learn about beauty and art. Find out which genre's or periods or artists speak to you, and why.

Then, you'll have some decoration that means something to you, and enriches your life regardless of whether there's a woman in your bed.

And that's fine. You should have told your friend that it's not your job to impress her. If that woman is back at your place, you've already impressed her enough.

EDIT: I agree with some of the people below. She was testing you in a social setting to evaluate your current SMV. Since she's a woman, she expects you to kowtow to her expectation of what is "cool" and "interesting". Basically, she wants you to give up power and play by her rules, so she tells you what to do (i.e., go to IKEA) and expects you to do it.

Fuck that noise, and fuck her too.
