I had a New Year's Eve party at my place (I live with a friend from high school). My friend's wife saw my room and it is pretty bare. I have a nightstand, bed, dresser, and yoga mat. I have a good sized room so it is pretty empty.

I was on a trip with them recently and during dinner she basically called me out on this (in front of our other friends). She said that if I bring a girl back she is not going to be impressed and that it is "kind of creepy". She said I need to go to Ikea and fill my room up. I don't want to.

Now I'm not a big player type and like most people who found this sub, we know that there is something wrong with ourselves. Okay, well I know there is something wrong with me. I've always been a little bit awkward. I can make friends but I really struggle with women. But when I hear shit like this it just makes me feel like women are not worth beating myself up over.

Can someone explain this to me? I just want to know the logic of it being creepy to have an empty bedroom. Will women think it is weird to not have a lot of stuff? Is she right (After all, she is giving her perspective as a woman)?
